The Rallye International du Valais takes place each October in the Swiss Alps. The Valais is one of the country's sunniest regions, offering a breathtaking playground of plains and mountains every year.

History

The Rallye International du Valais was born in 1960 as part of the Comptoir de Martigny fair. At that time, the event was only a tourist attraction, and was called … Rallye du Vin (“Wine Rally”).

​

Since then, the event has gone from strength to strength, becoming a round of the prestigious European Rally Championship in the 2010’s. The event now counts towards international competitions such as Mitropa Rally Cup and European Rally Trophy.

• All the members of the organizing committee are volunteers with motorsport backgrounds. They know the passion of motosport and how to bring it to life.

• The Valais (Wallis) is full of stunning roads, winding and sometimes tricky, but above all fast and technical.

• « The Cols » special stage is the most legendary of the Swiss Rally Championship, covering more than 29 kilometers and including several gravel sections.

• Esapekka Lappi (FIN), Giandomenico Basso (ITA), Alexey Lukyanuk (RUS), Freddy Loix (BEL), Piero Liatti (ITA), Robert Droogmans (BEL), Jimmy MC Rae (GBR) Harald Demuth (DEU) and many other drivers have added their name to the list of winners.
